What is the Flashcard Generator?
A flashcard generator converts study notes into question-and-answer cards for active recall. Put one fact per line: lines written as Term: definition, Term - definition, Term = definition, Term :: definition or separated by a tab become two-sided cards, and plain sentences become fill-in-the-blank (cloze) cards that hide the key name or number.
Click any card to flip it, print the deck, or export a tab-separated file for Anki (which also pastes straight into Quizlet) or a CSV file. Cards are built in your browser as you type; nothing is uploaded.
How to use the Flashcard Generator
- Type or paste your notes into the box, one fact per line (sample notes show the format).
- Separate term and definition with a colon, “::”, “=”, a spaced dash or a tab; plain sentences become cloze cards automatically.
- Click a card to flip between Question and Answer and test yourself.
- Click Export for Anki, Export CSV (Quizlet) or Print cards to study elsewhere.
